Getting released on DVD and Blu-ray this month is David Fincher’s incredible version of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO and if you haven’t seen it yet, read why you should.
Director David Fincher‘s dark and amazing re-telling of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO was one of my films of last year. With Steven Zaillian’s exemplary adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s first novel in his ‘Millennium trilogy’, we follow an outstanding Rooney Mara as the title character, the fierce and enigmatic computer hacker Lisbeth Salander. Teaming up with Daniel Craig who is her perfect foil as journalist Mikael Blomkvist to find a serial killer, the result is an engrossing crime thriller that stuns you right from the start.
With a supporting cast that reads like a who’s who of actors and includes Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgard, Robin Wright, Steven Berkoff, Goran Visnjic, Joely Richardson and Geraldine James, the chilling world of Larsson’s mystery to find who killed Harriet Vanger is brought incredibly to life by David Fincher. You can read my original review here.
To convince you that it’s a must-see, here is the fantastic three minute and 49-second trailer from when the movie was released last year. And start humming along to the Led Zeppelin ‘Immigrant Song’ now…
